Misery Town
Endacopia Trapezist route: fight or cut the rope
How do you reach and beat or skip the Trapezist in Endacopia?
Clear the Misery Town crowd with the microphone chain, enter the circus tent and finish the performance prompts (trapeze, ball, hoop, trampoline, unicycle and cannon). After landing beside the Trapezist, either speak to start the fight and block/punch the incoming purple balls, or equip the Scalpel and cut the left rope before starting dialogue to skip the fight for Cut The Act.
Check first
- The Trapezist tent is locked behind the Misery Town crowd and microphone chain; reaching the circus is not the same as reaching the boss.
- Bring the Scalpel from the clown puzzle if you want the Cut The Act alternative.
- Save before the final conversation if you want to preserve both the fight and avoid routes; they award different achievements.
What to do
- Open the routeFinish the Misery Town item and crowd chain until the microphone can clear the people blocking the attraction.
- Enter the performanceFollow the on-screen prompts through the trapeze line, blue ball, hoop, trampoline jump, unicycle and cannon. The exact button prompt is the current-build authority.
- Choose before dialogueAfter landing, save if needed. Starting the conversation commits you to the fight route; using Scalpel on the left rope first commits you to the avoid route.
- Fight routeBlock or punch the purple gymnastics balls as they enter the active lane. The balls—not a direct punch to the Trapezist—are the damage path.
- Avoid routeEquip Scalpel and cut the left rope holding the platform before starting the Trapezist dialogue. This awards the Cut The Act branch and preserves progression.
- Continue the chapterCollect the post-encounter rope/reward and follow the next route marker. Do not assume all other bosses share this skip rule.
The fight route awards Fatal Performance after the Trapezist is defeated; cutting the left rope awards Cut The Act and bypasses the direct fight. Both routes continue the chapter.
Some broad boss guides say every boss is skippable, but that claim is too broad. This page only confirms the Trapezist's Scalpel/left-rope branch. If a ball is still far away, wait or block rather than punching early.

Built from the sources below. We have not run this route ourselves unless the page says so.
Current route guides, Steam and Reddit players agree on the crowd/microphone gate, performance route and Scalpel left-rope alternative. Fight details vary in exact volley counts, so this page keeps the stable block/punch-ball rule and does not promise a fixed number of hits.
