Where to back up an Endacopia save for Endings A, B and C

Which checkpoint should I back up: the A/B saw choice, or the earlier all-routes state?

PLAYER TIP

For A and B only, back up immediately before handing over a saw in Chapter II: Toy Saw leads to A; the real Saw leads to B. If you also want the Chapter I secrets, boss choices and Ending C, keep a second, earlier backup before any of the three areas closes.

Check first

  • Decide what you need: only the A/B saw choice, or every Chapter I area and Ending C.
  • Only copy the save folder. Never move, delete or overwrite the only copy. Keep one untouched source backup.
  • Quit Endacopia completely before copying or restoring files. A running game may write over the folder again.

What to do

  1. Choose the early all-routes checkpointPrepare all three Chapter I areas but stop before closing them—before asking everyone to leave Misery Town; after Ozzie's tape reveals the Timesville waterfall route; and after obtaining the Core Key with Office productivity maxed.
  2. Write the early save and quit the gameUse the Super-Saver at that state, wait for saving to finish, then close Endacopia completely.
  3. Copy the entire save folderOn Windows, copy C:\Users\<your name>\Saved Games\Endacopia\. On SteamOS, copy ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2684630/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/Endacopia/.
  4. Name and protect the backupInclude its purpose and date—for example, Endacopia-backup-all-routes-2026-08-14—and do not edit this source copy.
  5. Create a separate late A/B backupBefore handing over a saw in Chapter II, save again and copy the folder under a different name. Toy Saw leads to Ending A; the real Saw leads to Ending B.
  6. Preserve the live save before restoringQuit the game, copy the current live folder to a new dated location, then restore from a duplicate of the chosen backup. Never restore from the only untouched source copy.
  7. Stop on a Steam Cloud conflictIf Steam asks you to choose between local and cloud data, do not choose immediately. Copy both versions first; Steam may prefer either timestamp.
YOU'RE DONE WHEN

The A/B copy loads just before the saw handover. The all-routes copy loads with all three Chapter I areas still open. Do not delete any copy until you have loaded it once.

STILL STUCK?

Never restore files while the game is running. If Steam shows a local/cloud conflict, stop and copy both versions before choosing. Avoid the Sendacopia save manager during achievement runs: a player and the mod author report that moving the save stops Steam from tracking endings and achievements. Moving it back may not award them later.

HOW WE CHECKED IT

A player-reported method. Check the original post and your game version before relying on it.

Players agree that manual copies work. The exact early checkpoint and folder paths come mainly from one guide. A player and the Sendacopia author both warn that the mod can stop achievement tracking.
